Le monument Zom Lib ou Free Man est une statue en métal représentant un homme se libérant de ses chaînes qui se tenait jusqu'à récemment dans le centre de Victoria juste derrière le stade du peuple où il a été placé en 1978 pour commémorer la "Liberation Day" du 5 juin 1977, le jour où le coup d'Etat par le Premier ministre de l'époque, France Albert René, a retiré le premier président des Seychelles, James Mancham, du pouvoir.

The Zom Lib or Free Man monument is a metal statue depicting a man breaking free of his chains that stood until recently in central Victoria just behind the people's stadium where it was first placed in 1978 to commemorate the ‘Liberation Day‘ of June 5 1977, the day that the Coup d’eat by the then Prime Minister France Albert René removed the first President of Seychelles, James Mancham, from power.
