This is our first attempt at hiding a geocache. Our family has been enjoying geocaching as a hobby since the fall of 2017 and figured it was time to add to the local stash of caches in our little community. While you're searching for this cache, check out the nearby flood monument to get a visual of just how high the water can get in the Red River Valley during flood years. With the construction of the larger floodway around town a number of years back, this area is now protected from floodwaters. This flood protection has also allowed for the development of the Rosenort River Trail network which is a great place for a nice family walk or bike ride along the Morris river from spring until the snow sticks around in the fall.
The best place to park is at the local grocery story just to the east.
