Dickinson Park
Dickinson park is a small, triangle shaped park located off of North Main Street in the Village of Essex. This quaint little park is surrounded by a rock wall with iron gates and is tucked away by beautiful trees making it a perfect spot for weddings or quaint family gatherings.
The Dickinsons were the founders and manufacturers of E.E. Dickinson Witch Hazel. According to the Essex Historical Society, the Dickinson private properties consisted of 5 properties. The family home, a stately columned “White House” is located at 21 North Main; the Dickinson office building at 31 North Main; the adjacent Dickinson carriage house; the 1750’s Samuel Lay homestead located at 17 North Main Street and what was once a cow barn located a few steps south.
Stop by for a geocaching adventure and then take a few moments to enjoy this unique spot across the street from the stately Dickinson Mansion.
