Phillip was born in 1962, Alan in 1964 and Brian in 1968. All three made their mark in some way in the Epping/Beecroft/Carlingford area of Sydney’s developing west north west in the 1960’s and 70’s. Not a whole lot is known about Philip, who moved to the Central Coast in his late teens after the death of his father. He settled in to a life of work with the coastal folk by becoming a life guard at Copacabana and Avoca Beaches…the hottest spot south of Avoca, as the song does not say. Brian, the youngest of the three brothers developed his trade in communications a worked hard to build a business and raise a family of wife and three daughters in Sydney’s North West. Alan battled through the classic middle child issues that were prevalent in the seventies and eighties and managed to make a living as a primary school teacher during the nineties. In this role he met his wife Dee and the settled in the middle Blue Mountains and are raising two children. He also likes to go Geocaching and you are reading the description to one of his caches right now.

Roads/Forests can be closed due to a variety of reasons. If the road/forest is closed, do not drive on/enter it. This is NOT a power trail; this is a touring trail designed to be done at a more relaxed pace over a few days. No need to rush, there are plenty of accommodation options along the way for all budgets from free camping and caravan parks to B&B, hotels or motels in some towns or nearby. Enjoy your journey!
