Welcome to Florida's newest State Park (at least it was at the time these were placed)!

The Park Manager here came from the VanFleet Trail Park and had very good experiences with geocaching and geocachers during her time there.  Way to go, GCers!  Due to your good conduct, she has asked that we "bring geocaching to Gilchrist Blue Springs SP" because of her belief in the value it brings to the Florida State Park system..

Let's continue to show the kind of respect for this newest park and its visitors as we swim, picnic, hike, play....or geocache!  No caches are attached to any signs, or on any structures or trees that would involve climbing.  Nor are any in the water, near the camping area, or in the picnic area.  Most are located in easily accessible public areas, or along trails or roads with ample safe parking.

To find this one, please park to the left of road if inbound, or to the right of road if outbound.    Please, DO NOT climb over the fence!  It's a very short walk around the end.

All caches are placed to be generally "kid-friendly" and accessible by most people during Park hours.  This park can be surprisingly busy, and often restricts admittance early in the day.  Midweek is the best time to come to avoid crowds or restricted access.
