Origami (jap. 折り紙) to sztuka składania papieru i tworzenia z niego różnych figur, postaci, zwierzątek, roślin itd. Jej początki wiążą się z powstaniem używanego w niej tworzywa – papieru i sięgają średniowiecznych Chin. Stamtąd sztuka ta zawędrowała do Japonii, gdzie rozwijała się niezależnie w to co znamy dziś. Ale dość teorii, wszak każdy może więcej i mądrzej poczytać sobie o origami w źródle wszelkiej mądrości jakim są internety.
