I remember how much I enjoyed watching the original Star Trek series when I was younger. Over the years I have continued to watch the various Star Trek series and movies and I have many favourite episodes and movies. This series of puzzles relates only to the 79 episodes of the original series not including the pilot episode.
Episode 58 - The Paradise Syndrome
In this episode Kirk, Spock and McCoy transport to the surface of an earth-like planet, from which they are to deflect an approaching asteroid. They discover an obelisk with strange markings, and observe a settlement whose inhabitants, according to Spock, are descended from indigenous Americans. Kirk, while out of sight of the others, falls through a trap door into the obelisk, where a beam shocks him into unconsciousness. Spock and McCoy are unable to locate Kirk and are forced to return to the Enterprise to complete their mission.
