Do you like to watch birds? I sure do! There are lots of birds in Rood Bridge park. I have seen robins, great blue herons, green herons, Anna's humming birds, turkey vultures, black caped chickadees, red tailed hawks, california scrub jays, osprey, northern flickers, crows and a wide variety of ducks and geese. Once, i even saw an owl.
When my children were small, we loved to watch the black capped chickadee momma teach her babies how to find food. They can even "walk" around the underside of a branch.
Keep your eyes peeled while you are in the park and see how many different birds you see and hear.
I built the home for this geocache using the attached plans for a birdhouse. You could make one for your yard. I'm also attaching plans to make a bat house. Bats are amazing creatures who eat the insects that drive us crazy. Can you house them in your neighborhood? If you are interested in a variety of birds, you can find the required dimensions for a variety of bird nest boxes here.
No force is necessary to open the cache. Treat the camouflage with care. Bring a pen/pencil as there is no writing instrument in the cache.
Placed with permission from the Hillsboro Parks and Rec.
Happy caching!
Congratulations to aStrongOne for the FTF.
