Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series to educate others about Permaculture! FTF gets something special in each cache! Bring your own pencil and feel free to leave something behind! Observe and Interact; “Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder.” The image of this Permaculture Principle represents a person “becoming” a tree. In observing nature, it is important to take different perspectives to help understand what is going on with the various elements in the system. Take a moment to observe the environment in front of you…is there trash that could be picked up and thrown away? Is there space that could be used to start a community garden? Is there space where a bee- or butterfly-friendly habitat could be installed? Is that a “weed” you see…or a medicinal herb that should be cultivated? Whatever your vision is for the space…write the idea down and put it back in the geocache. You never know…maybe next time you visit, the environment will have a whole new look to it! Holmgren, David. 2008, March 10. Principle 1: Observe and Interact. Retrieved from www.permacultureprinciples.com
