This series is dedicated to Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. My husband and I went to NIU. Both of our children graduated from NIU. I went on to teach in the DeKalb School District, Indian Creek School District and also in Genoa-Kingston School District. This university has meant a lot to this community in so many ways for many years not only for my family but to thousands.
