Geocache Description:

Name this breed (one word)

Known for their flamboyant spotted patterns, this horse is a color breed. This means that they are classified based on color genetics, rather than conformation features. There are six different coat patterns found in this family, each one rather distinctive. The picture below is the most recognizable. The horse was developed by the Nez Perce Natives in mid-18th century Oregon, Idaho & parts of Washington. This is another breed originating with Spanish horses brought to North America by conquistadors. The name comes from the Palouse River that ran through Nez Perce territory.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

This geoart is placed to coincide with the GHAGAFAP 17 event. Please see GC7VH9A for more details on the series.
