The Hastings Pier, located on Skinner Steet, provides many opportunities for angling. Most productive at high tide, those who are keen could expect to catch a variety of fish including: King George whiting, Australian salmon, silver trevally and flathead. Public toilets are not far from the car park at the base of the pier. At low tide you can spot a little island with a shipwreck and if you look towards the end of the pier you can see the HMAS Otama Submarine moored in Western Port Bay.
