Finding this cache might be easy....getting in may be another story
There is parking near the building and across the street. This property had belonged to the Massingill family who had a nursery here many years ago. American Legion Post 45 bought the property in 2005 and built the meeting hall, having their first meeting here in December 2010. Officially, it is the Hagberg-Hamlin Post 45, named so for Wilbur Hagberg, the only Galvan killed in in WW I and Dale Hamlin who was aboard the Oklahoma and killed when Pearl Harbor was attacked in WW II. The Fusiliers for the Post do Military Rites for funerals, and the post provides citizenship awards to students in Galva schools, sends boys to Boys State, holds public breakfasts the 2nd Sunday of each month, organizes a Veterans breakfast once a month, and is a meeting place for Scout troops, AA and other organizations. A senior Christmas meal is prepared by the Auxiliary each year and delivered to those who can not make it to the meal by the Legion members. Placed with permission. Dollar coin for first to find.
