16th Annual NYCRG Geocaching Picnic Event

All are invited to the capital region's longest running geocaching event. This years picnic will be at Moreau State park in South Glens Falls just off exit 17 of the Adirondack Northway.
Moreau Lake State Park is one of the capital region's premier parks and the Palmertown Range is one of the best kept secrets in the Northeast. Moreau Park has been named one of the top 100 campgrounds in the nation. Palmertown Range has some of the best hiking and mountain biking trails south of the Adirondacks and yes its located in Moreau Lake State Park. What a playground for big kids.

Time – 9:00am to 4:30pm
Where – Moreau State Park Fernwood Pavilion
Come on out and catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Share geocaching experiences, successful and not so successful. We will have a few games and activities for all, young and old.
Lots of nearby caches to be found including the State Parks Capital Region Geocaching Challenge caches.
There will be a pot luck lunch so bring whatever you can to share. Hamburgers, Hotdogs and rolls will be provided. We will also provide tableware. All else welcome. Please let us know in your will attend log what you will be bringing so others can plan accordingly.
Camping is available in the park and some of us will be spending Friday and Saturday nights.
Directions: Traveling either North or South on I-87 (Northway) get off exit 17S (Route 9 South). Only a few hundred feet depending on which direction you were traveling, take the first right onto Old Saratoga Road. From here go 3/4 mile and turn right into Moreau Lake State Park.
