Geocache Description:

A little while back, looking for a good spot to put a fresh cache along Bridge Street, I found a convenient location for one took some coordinates, stored in our handy-dandy GPS, and stepped back to decide exactly where it should hang. I looked up to find a cache already present!

But there isn’t supposed to be a cache here! It's not on the map! It shouldn't exist! Had we found... a lost cache?

A little deciphering of old handwriting and a little online searching, revealed it to be GC1Z24A: KISC 2, a cache retired on 29 May 2012 and yet somehow still present. The original has a crazy busy life these days and doesn't have a lot of caching time, but for us, some statistics review reveals that we’ve found 46 caches by this owner so far. A tribute cache seems fitting.

And congratulations to Aaron Haynes on the FTF! Very fitting, to our eyes.

What we would have written for the original description:

Our electricity grid is a pretty incredible thing if you stop to think about it. Power lines, transformer stations, towers, hydro dams, underground cables, wind turbines, solar farms. The amount of infrastructure is staggering. The cost of using that electricity in Ontario may be incredible as well, but in a less good way. Still, we’d hate to live in a pre-electricity time period, especially considering the critical shortage of available geocaches in those days.

This cache should be an easy find, a small micro in an easy to reach spot.

(This was supposed to be one of the caches we placed to celebrate 1000 finds, but while the other nine made it into the wild, somehow we forgot to actually place this one. Fixed now.)

Happy caching!
