NaatenFreek: Sadly we had to remove the catch. We had permission from the restaurant to put the catch on their terras, but since they will close down we had to remove it. Thanks for all the nice messages with all the catches you did. We are trying to find a new place for the catch. Maybe in Spain or in The Netherlands.
ABOUT THE CACHE: It is not hidden in a place where a lot of people sit, you don't have to disturb people to find this cache. Nevertheless, watch out for muggles.
HISTORY (Spanish and Dutch below)
In the past, this street used to be called "The Dutch Street" because of all the Dutch restaurants. For me, El Holandes is a place with a lot of vivid childhood memories. The restaurant used to be called E&E, but their son took over and named it El Holandes. Nowadays, there are not many Dutch stores and restaurants left, but there are still a lot of people to call this street the Dutch Street.
En el pasado, esta calle solía llamarse "La Calle Holandesa" debido a todos los restaurantes holandeses. Para mí, El Holandés es un lugar con muchos recuerdos vívidos de la infancia. El restaurante solía llamarse E&E, pero su hijo se hizo cargo y lo llamó "El Holandés". Hoy en día, no quedan muchas tiendas y restaurantes holandeses, pero todavía hay mucha gente que llama a esta calle la calle Holandesa.
Vroeger heette deze straat "Het Hollandse Straatje" vanwege de vele Nederlandse restaurants en winkels. Voor mij is El Holandes een plek met heel veel goede herinneringen, ik kom hier namelijk al sinds mijn jeugd. Vroeger heette het restaurant E&E, naar de voornamen van de eigenaren, maar toen hun zoon het overnam heeft hij het "El Holandes" genoemd. Tegenwoordig zijn er weinig Nederlandse restaurants en winkels in deze straat (iets wat ik stiekem wel jammer vind) maar voor heel veel mensen is dit nog steeds het Hollandse Straatje.
