It will be my birthday this week, though I will be at work on that day. I like this part of Yorkshire, a rugid hidden corner which reminds me of places further north. Rather than spending today by myself, I thought I would start the day with a Breakfast at Sunrise event. The Breakfast at Sunrise events have taken me to many a place, having started at Peel Tower near Ramsbottom, and have morphed into a series of events which have visited bothies, remote hillsides and even Victoria Station in London. So I have decided to have an event here. so that I get the multifuel stove out, get it roaring whilst I cook some breakfast for other geocachers, whilst having some banter.
In the events gone by we have cooked black pudding, sausage, bacon, tattie scones, haggis, and delights such as sweetbreads, though today it will be lorne sauage. Otherwise known as sliced square sausage. It is not going to get your cholesterol down, but it will fill a hole in your stomach.
I will be here from 0745 to 0815 on the 09/09/2018, and the event will last 30 mins. Please be aware that you will need to come dressed appropriatley for the worst that the hill can throw at you, and you are responsible for getting yourself on and off the hill. The event is at a rocky crag, so please be aware of your safety.
