Stairway to heaven ? (Sorrento)
Next to the the very busy main road that passes through Sorrento, there is a small sanctuary in a garden in the rocks, dedicated Sancta Maria (I guess). Few people will notice it because the traffic is very busy here and you have to keep your eyes at the road (and the Italian traffic).
Look closely and you will find a hidden stairway behind a small gate. Follow the stairway all the way up and you will find another gate. This one is not in use anymore. Behind the gate you will find an abandend structure, with nice cool water running from the rocks. Plants are growing abundendly here (and so do the mosquitos).
The cache is hidden in a rock that has many holes form the water passing through it. It a nice example of erosian by water. This is how caves are formed in the existing rock. If you look closely you can see were small structures are formed from calcite. Wait a couple of hundred years and there will be large stalagtites ;-) .
The cache
The cache is hidden in a crevace of the the rock. Look for a small green waterproof cylinder. Put the cache back the way you found it (or better if it was not hidden properly). Take care the container is fixed in the rock and does fall down easily. If nessecary look at the spoiler.
