In 1928 Bargo won the second grade competition defeating Exeter in the playOff for the Premiership Medals at Loseby Park Bowral on 25th August . During the season scores of 5-3 and 8-2 were very common due to the condition of the grounds , howeVer matches between the teams were always competitive from both players and spectators alike, with one newspaper report at the time recording a spectator’s comment of ‘give it to them Bargo, they are a dirty lot of cows’.
On September 19, Berrima Football League voted to allow Bargo Football Club £15 for cost of premiership medals. After the premiership mEdal competition, a knockout was played between the top 4 teams for the Warleigh Cup. In 1930 Bargo joined the Wollondilly Football League with teams from Campbelltown, Camden, Picton and Wollondilly.
During the 1930’s and 1940’s, challenge cup competitions took over from the league competition with cups such as Sommers, Dawson, Citizens Cups and Gumtree Cups. In May 1932 Bargo defeated Mittagong 8-0 in the Loch Cup.
In 1953 Bargo Football club was reformed and during that year a charity football match took place between the 1928 players and the 1953 players. This was at the halftime break during a charity competition organised by the Bush Nurses Association. This cache would have been placed in a more traditional place, however another cache was occupying that space.
