BethKatzPA: This one disappeared for the second time. I'd need to make another stamp. Oh well.

Geocache Description:

Cache is not at posted coordinates, That is where you start the non-GPS part of the journey. Cache is NOT accessible from Dutch Wonderland. There's a river in the way and no bridge. Get to parking. Park is open ONLY in daylight hours. This is a letterbox hybrid; bring your stamp.

The upcoming International Geocaching Day on August 18, 2018 provides an opportunity for a palindromic date - 8/18/18 or 81818. A palindrome reads the same forward and backward. Its beginning and end are mirror images of each other. This date's top and bottom are also mirror images. Container was placed on 8/10/18 which is also a palindrome as are all the dates until 8/19/18.

To learn more about symmetry, you might want to look at Symmetry for Primary Grades

There is a stamp in the container. You can use it to create the background image (first image in gallery) in your letterboxing journal but only if you stamp and quickly fold your paper to transfer the ink. Symmetry is nice, but I realized that you can't flip over the rubber stamp. The background image shows my results doing that.

STAMP 4 TIMES to get 81818.

To find the container ...
- Go to the posted coordinates and find the sign that starts with NO. Count the number of bullet points and remember that number as BP.
- Proceed southeast down the trail. Stay on trails until told to do otherwise.
- Turn right/south. Walk.
- Turn left/east. Walk.
- Turn right/south. Walk.
- Prepare to turn left/east. There's a sign here, but I didn't need to have you count the slats on the container below it or the number of horizontal boards on the bench. However, you do need to know what I mean by a significant tree. That would be a tree with a diameter of a foot.
- From the sign, turn left and walk about 250 feet down the trail until you see a grouping of 1-2-1 significant trees on the left side toward the creek. This is group 0. There is about fifteen feet between the 1 and 1 with the 2 between them and closer to the creek. The other groups will be much closer to each other.
- Remember the number of bullet points you saw on the sign? BP? As you walk off trail down the treeline along the creek, count the next group of significant trees as group 1. The ammocan/letterbox is at group BP. It's not hidden very well. Leaves help.
