Depuis plusieurs années, le Ouen Toro fait l'objet d'opérations de reboisement dirigées par le WWF.
Mais le Ouen Toro est recouvert d'arbres, alors pourquoi le reboiser ?

Parce que la grande majorité de ces arbres appartiennent à des espèces invasives (le faux mimosa en particulier). Il s'agit donc essentiellement de remplacer ces individus par de jeunes plants appartenant à des espèces endémiques et sauvegarder une biodiversité très fragile.
Et c'est dans une de ces parcelles que je vous propose de vous aventurer, avec l'accord exprès de sa responsable !
Pour trouver cette cache, garez-vous sur le parking du club de voile. A l'entrée indiqué par le waypoint, marchez sur le chemin de gauche qui monte.
Surtout attention aux petits plants, regardez bien où vous marchez :)

For several years, the WWF has been reforesting several Ouen Toro areas.
But the Ouen Toro is covered with trees, so why bother reforesting it?
Good question!
Because the vast majority of these trees belong to invasive species (the "false mimosa" in particular). It is therefore essential to replace these individuals with seedlings belonging to endemic species and safeguard a very fragile biodiversity.
And it is in one of these zones that I propose you to venture, with the express agreement of its manager!
To find this cache, park in the parking lot of the sailing club. At the entrance indicated by the waypoint, walk on the left path that goes up.
Especially watch out for small plants, look closely where you walk :)
