Walking on the Edge #1 - The Old Thripenny Bit Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

kiorio: Unfortunately, it's time for this one to go.

After all, it's gone missing twice now, and there really isn't much point in replacing this again if it's likely to go missing again.

Thanks to everyone who came to search for this and apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Geocache Description:

Walking on the Edge:

This is a series of 5 caches (4 Traditionals, 1 Multi) Placed along Edge Lane between Thornton and Netherton, along a nice walk. This is the First Cache on the walk, a Traditional.

Advice/Info for cachers:

Parking is available on Stanny Field Drive/St William Road. I would reccomend parking here to do this eries as this is the only cache on the series which can be done as a Drive by and is much better taking the walk.

The Cache:

The Cache should be simple and is at the same location as the first Stage for the multi in the series, and should be fairly simple to find. Please use the loops to loop around the log when replacing so it does not get caught in the container, it is an absoloute nightmare to get back out but can be done with tweezers, but may take a bit of time.

Anything else?

The Church's actual name is St William of York Catholic Church. It is known locally as The Old Thripenny Bit, because of it's odd shape.

If you need any help, please message me via Email or the Geocaching Message Centre.

I hope you enjoy this cache, and the series, and have a nice walk!!
