It's time for Portland area geocachers to strut their caching brains a bit and show off a little trivia knowledge! GEOregon's November meeting will not only allow you to meet up with your geofriends in the area, but it will also allow us to have our first geocaching themed trivia event!
This event is being held in lovely downtown St. John's from 1-3 PM November 10th.
The doors to the restaurant will open at exactly 1 PM so no need to come super early. The restaurant seats about 60 people max so please let me know if you're coming so we can prepare appropriately. Food and drinks are available but not required to attend this event. Trivia will begin at exactly 2 PM and end at 3 PM with prizes for the first three teams, as well as a booby prize for last. Also, the winning team will get to log the event as a co-FTF!
The trivia portion will be hosted by the T of T&A (A won't be there unfortunately, but I promise she DOES ACTUALLY EXIST). It will consist of four rounds of trivia based on geocaching. I reserve the right to add additional BONUS questions at any time during the contest if I feel the questions are either too easy or too difficult for the groups, so make sure to listen up! All questions are geocaching themed and will be answerable to most mildly seasoned cachers. If you're a caching neophyte I suggest you buddy up to some studly, wicked smart geoveterans!
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW (aside from geocaching trivia):
1) There is plenty of neighborhood parking for free in the area.
2) The doors to this event open at 1 PM- no need to be more than a few minutes early.
3) Please no more than 6 people on a team, and try to mix and mingle- don't be cliquey! This geocaching event is not about winning- it's about friendships!
4) Gluten free pizza options are available to all those who battle their own gastrointestinal processes.
5) GEOregon has been kind enough to co-host this event with us and is offering prizes to the first three teams that compete. If you enjoy attending GEOregon sponsored events such as this, please help support us by joining or renewing your paid membership to GEOregon. We cannot make these events happen without you. Thank you.
