Hi everyone,
Team Jigsaw have been caching for nearly 3 years now and thought it would be a good idea to host our own event. We have decided to try and encourage cachers old and new to attend so that newbies can pick up hints and tips from more experienced players. We particularly want to see families and kids attend as we firmly believe that caching is a brilliant way to encourage outdoor activities between the generations! The chosen venue has a large outdoor area, so if kids want to bring outdoor toys and games, so much the better. If the weather is inclement then we have hired the back lounge which will be private and reserved for us. If any experienced cachers could possibly bring gps units with them, and maybe explain and answer questions on their use that would be great! We have arranged the good old Cleethorpes favourite, chip butties, to be served so you won’t go hungry and the venue serves a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, including tea and coffee. You are under no obligation to buy although, obviously, it will be much appreciated!
The event will run from 12.00 midday until 2pm but anyone wanting to stay and chat is more than welcome!
A MESSAGE FOR NEWBIES!
Please make every effort to attend and don’t be afraid to ask any questions, there’s no such thing as a daft question, only one you don’t know the answer to! Remember, we were all new players once and are all still learning from experience and from others!
TRANSPORT
The venue is on bus route 7 from both Grimsby and Cleethorpes town centres, stop is on Davernport Drive, and just a very short walk from the stop for the number 4 on Sandringham Road. Venue address is the Crows Nest, Balmoral Road, Cleethorpes
