Geocache Description:




Few people around the world will receive a 75th birthday present of three 50-foot murals of themselves around their home city, but that huge honour has been bestowed upon Glasgow-born performer, Billy Connolly.

Three Billy Connolly portraits by artists Jack Vettriano, John Byrne and Rachel Maclean were unveiled as part of The Big Yin’s birthday celebrations last year.

And now the portraits, which were created in secret by the artists Rogue-one and Art Pistol working with Billy Connolly over a period of months, have been recreated on walls around Glasgow.

ABOUT THIS WHERIGO: This cartridge takes you on a short walk through Glasgow and can be completed in around 30 minutes. You will visit three zones at each of the murals before gaining the coordinates for the final location where you can find a physical cache. You must sign the log of this cache if you want to log your find on the Geocaching.com website. You will also be issued with a completion code when you reach this point, which will enable you to log your find on the Wherigo.com website. At each zone, you are required to answer a simple question about things you can see in the locations you visit. Don't worry if you get it wrong, you will be able to try again. I have extensively tested this cartridge on the Emulator and in the field using a smartphone Wherigo app and did not experience any problems. Any feedback about the functioning of the cartridge would be gratefully received.
