This is my first cache hide! decided to place one along my daily commute.
Aldridge was recorded as a settlement in the Domesday Book of 1086, It was valued at 15 shillings under the name of "Alrewic", which may have originated from an abundance of Alder trees in the area.
Aldridge began as a small agricultural settlement, with farming being the most common occupation up until the 19th century.
I have lived in the area all my life and seen it change and develop. Why not head into the Village for a coffee and cake after your find? Or have a mooch around the shops!

No room for swaps im afraid and youll need your own pen, due to this there are only bragging rights available for the FTF (sorry!)
The cache is by a busy main road so please keep geokids and geodogs in sight, deoending onthe time of day stealth may be required!
