Here's a hide in the Shandon Rest Area along Highway 41. It is accessible from either direction, but much easier off/on when heading east.
Originally this hide was called Black Box of Smiles because the original hide was in a black box that held free printed "travel guides". At some point in 2020, those boxes were removed. I guess with smart phones, there wasn't much need/interest. Actually, it is pretty amazing they lasted as long as they did. With the newspaper boxes gone, what is left is a very odd looking bench with tall sides. I wanted to continue the hide even though the box is gone, so the hide is still at the same coordinates, just a litle lower and tucked out of sight. The hide is pretty easy, but being stealthy will be pretty hard. The hide is just a few feet away from the always busy set of snack machines. You'll have to be careful and hope the muggles are focused enough on their snack choice to not notice you.
This cache is a hide-a-key tucked away out of sight and out of the weather, but still easily accessible. Please use stealth when making the grab and please replace exactly as you found it.
