Geocache Description:

Candy’s walk is a 4 mile circular walk around the village of Beeston Regis. The route is in memory of my wonderful German shorthaired pointer dog, Candy, who adored getting outside and going for walks. She loved the fresh air just like us geocachers!

The coordinates given are only for suggested parking. To find the correct coordinates you must first do the Jigsaw puzzle.

Solve the Jigsaw puzzle and the coordinates for the final location will be revealed and the cache can be found a short walk away. This puzzle is a picture of Candy. Click on the image below to access the puzzle.

Jigsaw puzzle - candy

This series consists of 13 caches. It has been designed to incorporate other caches around the village which makes a pleasant walk. In addition to my 13, there are 5 traditional caches on the route or very close by. If you take a slight detour onto the common there are a further 5 caches -4 are traditional and 1 earth cache. This walk in total could include a total of 23 caches. You will need to BYOP and tweezers may be needed for some caches. Some coordinates may be slightly out as some caches are in woodland. Some caches have large gaps between them due to the nearby multi-cache, so I had to be mindful where I placed these caches.

As the circuit is circular, you can choose to start anywhere, with parking being available close to cache 1 (1 car), 9 (several cars) or 11 (several cars). The route for the series consists of various terrains and some sea views are possible.

Cache 1 is near the top of Britons Lane on the edge of the stone pits where you walk through woodland. The route crosses over NT land, along tracks, down public pathways, along a busy road with no pathway and is close to a railway line. You can detour onto Beeston common and pick up several other caches. Then resume this series. If you decide to continue, you pass allotments, Beeston Priory, the village sign and returning up a hill to the first cache.

For cache 1 - Here you are looking for a micro cache with only enough room for a log, so BYOP and tweezers maybe necessary. This cache can be done as a cache and grab.
