Geocache Description:



Don't take the stamp. Bring your own ink pad and pen for this letterbox.

For letterboxes you are meant to stamp the cache's stamp on your own paper and then sign the log with your own stamp. If you don't have a stamp you can sign the log like normal.

Totoro is the spirit if the forest in the classic anime film by Hayao Miyazaki, one of Japan's most beloved animators. The story follows Satsuke and Mei, two young girls who find that their new country home is in a mystical forest inhabited by a menagerie of mystical creatures called Totoros. They befriend O Totoro, the biggest and eldest Totoro, who is also the king of the forest. As the girls' mother lies sick in the hospital, O Totoro brings the sisters on a magical adventure but also helps them to understand the realities of life. This set of 9 stamps is dedicated to the film and feeling around it. When you are searching for these caches I hope you have a good time and enjoy the nature around you.

In the movie the youngest sister, Mei, picks an ear of corn from Grannies garden to give to her mother when she comes home from the hospital. She ends up etching the words "to mother" or "oakasan e" into it and putting it on on the hospital window seal for her mother to quickly discover. This container is a large thermos hanging in a tree. To get it down simply unhook the cord and let it gently come down. Please raise it back up like you found it after you're done. (^・ω・^ ).
