HR - Na području današnjeg sela Cetine, u blizini pitoresknog izvora istoimene rijeke, nalazilo se u srednjem vijeku selo Vrh Rika. Uslijed provala Osmanlija selo je napušteno, a njegovi su žitelji naziv starog naselja prenijeli u svoj novi dom - današnji grad Vrliku.
ENG - During the Middle Ages, the village Vrh Rika was located in the area of the modern village Cetina, near the picturesque spring of the eponymous river. Due to the raids of the Ottomans, the village was abandoned, and its inhabitants transferred the name of the old settlement to their new home - modern town Vrlika.
HR - Od starog je sela ipak ostao očuvan jedan, ali neizmjerno vrijedan trag: crkva Svetog Spasa iz 9. stoljeća. Sveti Spas je najbolje očuvana građevina predromaničkog razdoblja u Hrvatskoj. Sudeći po natpisu s kamene oltarne ograde, crkva je bila privatna zadužbina župana Gastike i izvorno posvećena Isusu Kristu. U tlocrtu je jednobrodna građevina, sa svetištem u obliku triju polukružnih apsida na istoku. Tijekom obnove u 14. stoljeću, središnja polukružna apsida je uklonjena i zamijenjena pravokutnom gotičkom apsidom koja se vidi danas. Unutrašnje i vanjske strane zidova imaju pojačanja u vidu uglatih lezena i zaobljenih kontrafora koji se prema vrhu sužavaju.
ENG - However, one enormously valuable trace of the old village is still preserved: Church of Holy Salvation (Sveti Spas) from the 9th century. Holly Salvation is the best-preserved building of the pre-Romanesque period in Croatia. Judging by the inscription from the stone altar fence, the church was a private endowment of the prefect Gastika and was originally dedicated to Jesus Christ. It is a single-nave church with a shrine in form of three semi-circular apses in the east. Due to the restauration works in the 14st century, the central semi-circular apse was removed and replaced with square-shaped Gothic apse that can be seen today.The inner and outer sides of the walls have reinforcements in form of square lesenes and rounded buttresses that are narrowing towards the top.
HR - Na zapadnoj strani crkve visoko se uzdiže najstariji očuvani zvonik u Hrvatskoj, a na njega se nastavlja ulazni pretprostor crkve (westwerk) podijeljen na dvije etaže. Na gornjoj etaži nalazi se prostorija s lučnim otvorima okrenutima prema svetištu, kroz koje su velikodostojnici pratili bogoslužje iz svojevrsne galerije. Na tu se etažu pristupalo vanjskim stepeništem kroz vrata na prvom katu zvonika. Zidovi zvonika na svakoj etaži imaju jednostavne lučne prozore, a na vrhu djelomično očuvanu biforu. Oko crkve Svetog Spasa nalazi se srednjovjekovno groblje s dugim kontinuitetom ukapanja, od 10. do 16. stoljeća.
ENG -On the west side of the church is the oldest preserved bell tower in Croatia, followed by anteroom of the church (westwerk) that has two floors. On the upper floor, there is a room with arch openings facing the shrine, through which prelates followed the liturgy from a sort of a gallery. This floor was accessed by an external staircase through a door on the first floor of the bell tower. The walls of the bell tower on each floor have simple arched windows and a partially preserved mullion on the top. Around the Church of Holy Salvation, there is a medieval cemetery with a long continuation of burials, from the 10th to the 16th century.
