Podzemna slemenska utrdba Goli vrh sodi med največje podzemne utrdbe obramnega sistema Rupnikove linije, zato ima izjemen zgodovinski pomen. Leta 2010 je bila razglašena za kulturni spomenik lokalnega pomena.
The underground summit-type fortification Goli vrh belongs to one of the largest underground fortifications of the Rupnik Line defence system and as such bears unique historical significance. It was declared a cultural monument of local importance in 2010.

Utrdba Goli vrh je edini skoraj dokončan bunker v tem delu Rupnikove linije. Nedokončanega oziroma neutrjenega je ostalo le približno 6,5 m rova pri glavnem vhodu. Sredi 50. let se je glavni vhod zaradi dotrajanosti lesene podporne konstrukcije sesul. Odkopan in rekonstruiran je bila leta 2011.
Podzemna slemenska utrdba Goli vrh se nahaja na najvišjem delu Žirovskega vrha in leži na nadmorski višini 950 m. Sestavljena je iz dveh nadzemnih visokih vršnih bunkerjev in podzemnih galerij približno 25 m globoko.
Iz vršnega bunkerja v notranjosti utrdbe vodi 124 stopnic. Glavna galerija je dolg 200 m, ob njej pa razvejan in skrbno odvodnjavan sistem manjših galerij in dvoran, kjer so bila poleg vojašnice z bolnišnico predvidena tudi skladišča, strojnica in podobno. V njih še vedno lahko vidimo ostanke orodja in materiala, ki so ga delavci pustili leta 1941, ko so bila dela nenadoma ustavljena. Poleg dveh betonskih rezervoarjev za vodo in nedokončanih cistern za gorivo je dobro ohranjenega tudi nekaj orodja in drugih elementov gradnje.

The fortification is practically the only almost completed underground bunker in this section of the Rupnik Line. Incomplete or not fortified were only 6.5 meters of the tunnel at the main entrance. The main entrance collapsed in the 1950s as the wood support structure was heavily damaged. It was dug out and reconstructed in 2011.
The underground summit-type fortification Goli vrh is located in the uppermost part of Žirovski vrh lying at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level and consists of two high summit-type forts and a grid of underground tunnels running some 25 meters deep.
There is a staircase of 124 stairs leading from the summit-type bunker into the bowels of the fort. The main gallery is 200 meters long and is surrounded by an intricate system of well drained corridors and chambers, which, among others, included headquarters and infirmary, supply depots, machine gun emplacement etc. The chambers and corridors still house the remains of the material and construction tools which the men left in a hurry in 1941 when the work was abruptly stopped.
