This geocache is one of a series that highlights the area Boy Scout Eagle projects that have been completed by Troop 43 in Holland. Ethan I, Aaron N, Ethan M have all worked with local park officials in coordinating the hunting and gathering of a popular invasive species found in the many Ottawa County Parks such as this one. The Garlic Mustard plant is one of the most problematic plants in Michigan, as well as neighboring states. Much effort has been given to eradicate this plant but more work must be done...and that's where the Scouts of T43 have become involved. Attached in this geocache are some images of this plant for reference...and if you see it during your exploration of this or any park in the area, please feel free to remove it by the root. Please return the cache to as close of location as you found it as possible.
