ELSIES CACHE
Eslies Cache has been placed for my 1 year old daughter in the hope that it will still be here and have had lots of visitors by the time she is old enough to enjoy geocaching herself.
Over the past 16 years we have spent a lot of time in this area and thought we should share it with others.
Multicache:
- This is a multi, which means that the cache is not at the listed location. At the listed location information can be found to complete the coordinates and find the location of the cache.
Access:
- Access is only from the parking location/trail head marked by the waypoint. The pond does not have any public access ramp to launch motorised boat, all land surrounding the lake is privately ownd and cannot/should not be used to gain access to the cache.
- During the months where the lake and stream are not frozen, canoe, kayak or other non motorised transport needs to be used to gain access to the cache.
- During the months where the lake and stream are frozen, walking, snow shoeing, skiing can be used to access the cache.
- The cache should be available in all weathers.
Nature:
- Part of caching is getting into the outdoors, discovering new places, and interacting delicately with nature. The stream and pond is a natural habitat for many different types of wildlife and plants which need to be repecfully interacted with. Please leave only ripples in the water and footprints on the ground or the cache will be deactivated.
Hint:
The cache itself should not be difficult to find. The hint relates to the way you gain access to the cache. Nothing needs to be forced in order to gain access.
Puzzle
- In order to gain the final coordinates there is a simple puzzle to solve.
- At the given location there is a green sign.
- The sign has 4 numbers on it written vertically.
- The top number is 'A' then going downwards 'B', 'C', and the bottom 'D'.
- Replace the letters with the correct numbers to gain the final coordinates.
