Enjoy a great walk on the east end of the Astoria Riverwalk and find a bunch of caches!
The majority of the eastern end of the Riverwalk is lined with blackberry bushes. At the time these caches were placed, an amazing profusion of fruit was waiting to be picked. Be sure to bring a container!
When you visit the produce section of even nearby supermarkets, a small container of blackberries sells for around $6.00. There are hundreds of thousands of times that quantity along the River. Imagine what they would be worth if they were being sold at the store!
