(ITA) Il Lazzaretto di San Fiorano è uno dei tanti luoghi in cui venivano portati e seppelliti i morti della peste che flagellava il basso lodigiano nel XVII secolo.
La cappella oggi visibile è stata costruita nel 1721, ma la fossa comune ha origini ben più antiche.
Negli anni le persone del posto si sono prese cura di questo luogo sacro che oggi appare in buono stato benchè un po' dimenticato purtroppo. Nella cappella è presente un dipinto a olio messo pochi anni fa per preservare un affresco sulla parete sottostante che versava in pessime condizioni. Si spera in futuro di trovare fondi sufficienti per finanziarne il restauro.
Gli alberi che vedete li attorno sono stati piantati durabte la costruzione della cappella e sono quindi secolari e censiti dal comune.
Vi preghiamo di prestare la massima attenzione e di rispettare il luogo e le persone che vi sono sepolte.
(ENG) This Lazzaretto near the village of San Fiorano was one of the many places in Italy where people died because of plague were buried. While the place dates back to XVII century, the chapel you can still see was built in 1721.
During the years many people took care about this place, so that today is in a good condition, even if kind of forgotten by the community. In the chapel is present a recent oil painting, covering the old fresco which need maintenance (hoping to find the money to fund this).
The big trees you can see around are as old as the chapel itself.
Please be respectfull of the holy place while looking for the cache.
