La cache è situata presso la Cappella costruita nel profondo vallone dell'Urià, nel luogo in cui l'allora prevosto di Castiglione, don Giuseppe Rossi, fu massacrato da una truppa nazifascista nel 1945. Il mosaico situato sopra l'altare ricorda il tragico avvenimento: in seguito ad un'imboscata dei Partigiani che causa la morte di due militari fascisti, i parrocchiani consigliano a don Rossi di abbandonare il paese e fuggire sui monti, ma lui rifiuta, richiamando la figura evangelica del pastore buono che dà la vita per il suo gregge. La rappresaglia non si fa attendere: un gruppo di nazifascisti lo preleva dalla Canonica e lo trascina fuori paese. I parrocchiani lo ritroveranno nel luogo dove sorge la Cappella, in una buca scavata con le unghie, ricoperto di lividi, con il cranio sfondato e il colpo di grazia in pieno volto. Nel 2002 la diocesi di Novara dà l’avvio al suo processo di beatificazione.
La Cappella è raggiungibile tramite una ripida e scivolosa scalinata che parte dal parcheggio della frazione Colombetti, dove si possono anche ammirare alcune delle case più antiche della Valle Anzasca con la loro tipica architettura d'epoca.

The cache is located near the Chapel built in the deep valley of the Urià, in the place where the provost of Castiglione of that age, Don Giuseppe Rossi, was massacred by a Nazi-fascist troop in 1945. The mosaic above the altar recalls the tragic event: following an ambush of the Partisans who cause the death of two fascist soldiers, the parishioners advise Don Rossi to leave the country and flee to the mountains, but he refuses, recalling the evangelical figure of the good shepherd who gives his life for his sheep. The reprisal does not delay: a group of Nazi-Fascists take it from the Canonica and drags it out of the village. The parishioners will find him in the place where the Chapel stands, in a hole dug with his nails, covered with bruises, with his skull broken and the coup de grace in full face. In 2002 the diocese of Novara started the process of beatification.
The Chapel can be reached via a steep and slippery staircase that starts from the parking area of the Colombetti district, where you can also admire some of the oldest houses in the Anzasca Valley with their typical architecture.
