This cache is placed to represent both Terra Nova and Lost. On Terra Nova, people were sent to live in a protected community back in the dinosaur times. As for Lost, this represents Tabula Rasa and an exchange between Jack and Hurley, in which Hurley assumed the mysterious sound in the jungle must be a dinosaur.
Excerpt from Lost, Episode 3-Tabula Rasa:
HURLEY: Was it a dinosaur?
JACK: It wasn't a dinosaur.
HURLEY: You say you didn't see it.
JACK: I didn't.
HURLEY: So how do you know it wasn't a dinosaur?
JACK: Because dinosaurs are extinct.
HURLEY: Oh. Yeah.
I am hiding this cache to mark 8-15-18 because on Lost 815 was a significant number, and look at the date, you can see 815 is made either direction.
This cache is located near the building that houses the Fick Fossil Museum. This seemed a fitting place for a dinosaur themed cache.
You are looking for a blue prescription bottle with a tree on it, though you may not be able to see the design until you unclip it. It is attached with the binder clip to the location. You can unclip the binder clip to get the cache. Then please reattach the binder clip. The clips are new and so might be tight.
Please bring your own pen/pencil.
If log is full or wet, please let me know and I will replace it.
This location is child and pet friendly. Please keep your dog on a leash. Area has some stickers and biting/stinging insects. It would be a good idea to check for stickers. This is Kansas and we do have snakes, so please watch your step.
