Geocache Description:

CITO - California Coastal Cleanup - SEAL BEACH EDITION

Saturday SEPTEMBER 15 from ~9am to ~11am

Please join us for a beach and jetty clean-up from 9am to 11am in Seal Beach. Our volunteer efforts for the morning will focus on trash removal on the jetty and volunteers will earn a CITO souvenir. Come find us on the JETTY.

TERRAIN RATING: 1.5 if not on the jetty, 4 if you are on the jetty. Note that the rocks can be slippery, wear adequate footwear. Regarding the terrain rating, the choice is yours! Either way, bring water and wear a hat and sunscreen.

THE LOG: During a previous CITO event we retrieved this marvelous item and used it as the event log and to frame the CITO group, see picture. What will we find this time? Around 10:30 we'll take a look at what you found and sign "the log" or the item that best commemorates the event.

Save Our Beach will be conducting a monthly beach clean-up on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9am to Noon at the beach parking lot at the end of 1st Street in Seal Beach. Parking in the 1st Street Beach lot is free during the clean-up. There is street parking nearby, please pay attention to the parking/no parking signs and time limits.

Check in at the Blue Canopy on the Grass to receive a parking pass (required if you park in this parking lot next to the Blue Canopy / not required for street parking).
Pre-registering on the Save Our Beach website will speed up the check in process for you and your family.
Each adult participant must register separately. Minor children may register on a parent/guardian's registration.

Pre-register on this Save Our Beach website for the California Coastal Cleanup Day & Seal Beach Cleanup- Saturday September 15, 2018. For group name you can use Geocaching CITO.

All participants are required to fill out a waiver prior to participating, this is done on the registration page, or on-site. All minors must have their parents consent to participate and minors under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Clean-ups happen 'Rain or Shine’. Save Our Beach provides gloves, bags and pickers, but feel free to bring your own.
