Situé entre le Vieux-Montréal et le centre-ville, le Centre de commerce mondial fait partie intégrante du Quartier international de Montréal. Son emplacement, ainsi que son architecture unique, témoignent de l’histoire et du développement de Montréal.
Inauguré en 1992, le Centre de commerce mondial est un amalgame d’édifices plus que centenaires. Les 17 bâtiments qui occupaient cet ilot urbain, de 1840 à 1960, ont fait l’objet d’une étude afin d’évaluer leur valeur historique, culturelle et structurale. Certains de ces bâtiments ont été conservés intégralement tandis que d’autres n’ont préservé que certains éléments. Onze façades uniques ont ainsi été intégrées à l’immeuble et ses entrée ont conservé leur style d’origine.
Ce véritable village intérieur est recouvert d’une immense verrière, créant ainsi un vaste atrium où il fait bon déambuler en toute saison.
Ne manquez pas d'aller visiter l'intérieur... il y a même une authentique portion du Mur de Berlin!

Located between Old Montreal and Downtown Montreal, the Centre de commerce mondial is an integral part of the Montreal International District. Its location, as well as its unique architecture, reflect the history and development of Montreal.
Inaugurated in 1992, the Centre de commerce mondial is an amalgam of buildings more than a century old. The 17 buildings occupying this urban block, from 1840 to 1960, were the subject of a study to evaluate their historical, cultural and structural value. Some of these buildings have been preserved in their entirety while others have only preserved certain elements. Eleven unique façades have been incorporated into the building and its entrances have retained their original style.
This true interior village is covered with a huge glass roof, creating a vast atrium where it is good to wander in any season.
Do not miss to visit the interior ... there is even a genuine portion of the Berlin Wall!
