A nice little multi here to remember the recipients of the Victoria Cross (V.C.) as well as the other people who have gave their lives for us. BYOP!

The posted coordinates will take you to the following picture - look for the missing clues near what you see here, and at the 2nd waypoint to get the cache. :)
The Victoria Cross:
The Victoria Cross is awarded to members of the British Armed Forces for gallantry or an "act of valour or self-sacrifice or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy" and is the highest award of the British Honours System. The award usually comes in a bronze cross with a crown and lion superimposed and carries the motto: 'For Valour'.
At the Posted Coordinates:
At the posted coordinates are the names of 3 recipients of the VC. To find the values of A and B, answer the following:
**The surname of the Private here has the shortest name - using the A=1, B=2, etc method, calculate the value of the 2nd letter in the surname to find the value of A.
**The Major here was killed in 1897, but what was the year he was born? (18?8) ? = B.
Now it's time to move along to the next waypoint....
2nd waypoint (Outside the People's Palace) at N55 51.100 W004 14.193:
At this location are 6 Victoria Cross recipients in the ground, and I've also been informed there will be a 7th recipient unveiled sometime soon - so keep an eye out for that if in the area. :)
To find the values of C,D,E and F, answer the following from this location:
**There are 2 men who served in the Highland Light Infantry, a Lt. Colonel (X), and a Sergeant (Y). Find the # of letters in both their surnames and subtract X from Y to = C.
**Drummer Ritchie received the Victoria Cross on D July 1916.
**Look for the Company Sergeant Major who served in the Kings Own Scottish Borderers (the KOSB). He received the Victoria Cross on TV August 1917. To find E, subtract T from V.
**At both waypoints are 2 PRIVATES with the exact same name but different dates (Edit - they're the same person, but this location has the date he received the Cross, the other location has his date of death). Looking at the Private at this place, pay attention to the date he received the VC.($£ October) Question: Subtract $ from £ to get F.
