My cache-kids and I love mythology, and we realized that our favorite trail didn't have any caches yet :) On a clear day, you will have a beautiful view of the front range after a short walk. CONGRATS to Fork L Man for FTF!
Mount Parnassus is named after Parnassos, the son of the nymph Kleodora and the man Kleopompus. This mountain of limestone in central Greece towers above Delphi, north of the Gulf of Corinth, and offers stunning views of the surrounding olive groves. Parnassus was sacred to Dionysus and the Dionysian mysteries, as well as Apollo and the Corycian nymphs. According to some traditions, it was also considered to be the home of the Muses, therefore it became known as the home of poetry, music, and learning.
