The Dark-eyed junco is a small songbird in the genus of the American Sparrow. They live in Utah and I have seen them around this area before.
I like these birds because they are just really simple looking. Just dark gray with a light gray belly, something about them talks to me.
This cache is on the little trail that connects the bonneville shoreline trail and the rocky mouth waterfall trail. I would recommend parking at the hidden valley park, but the rocky mouth trailhead works too.
