In 1911, Jos Desgroseilliers, a merchant in St-Charles, installed a telephone line between St-Charles and Warren and to Cache Bay at his own expense. He formed a company of which he was the director. He had 35 subscribers at the start of the St-Charles service. He sold the lines in 1916 for $700.00, by that time he had 50 subscribers
