Lokev je naselje v Občini Sežana, tik ob meji z Italijo. Naselje je dobilo ime po veliki lokvi (kalu), kjer so napajali živino.
Naselje je sestavljeno iz dveh precej nepovezanih delov. Starejši zgornji del vasi je strnjen okoli župnijske cerkve svetega Mihaela in obrambnega stolpa. V novem delu stoji znana pršutarna.
Lokev je zanimivo izhodišče za izlete: v bližini Lokve je kobilarna Lipica, nedaleč stran je znana kraška jama Vilenica, nad Lokvijo pa se dviga hrib Kokoš.
Geocache je postavljen v centru vasi, kjer so strnjene vse pomembnejše zgradbe: cerkev, obrambni stolp, spomeniki padlim borcem, šola in vrtec. Mesto zaklada ni pretirano obiskano, zmotijo vas lahko samo domači vaški sprehajalci.
V plastičnem vsebniku se nahaja: logbook, pisalo.

Lokev is a village in the Municipality of Sežana, close to the border with Italy. The name – Lokev – refers to a large pond where locals watered their livestock.
The village consists of two parts. The older one is the ''upper part'' and is centered around Saint Michael's Parish Church and defense tower, while in the new part is situated quite known prosciutto producing facility.
Lokev is also an interesting starting point for different excursions: nearby is the Stud Farm Lipica, very known Carst cave Vilenica, and above the village is also a hill Kokoš.
The geocache is situated in the center of the village, where most of the important buildings are: church, defense tower, memorials to the soldiers, elementary school and the kindergarten. The place of the treasure is not very crowded. You will probably meet just a few locals during their easy walk.
