This is a revival of an old 2007 cache that was archived off in 2010. It's not exactly the same spot as the old one, and it's much smaller. This is a quick park and grab. Also it's a fun one for first time kids and adults. The park is open dawn to dusk, so please do not attempt this cache outside of that. There are muggles around, so please be cautious and also place it back exactly where you found it. Bring your own pen too!
History:
The Hutchison Knoll is one of the few remaining pieces of pre-South Riding land. This small, quiet and beautiful park contains the Hutchison's family burial ground (fenced in at the top). The burial ground contains the remains of Andrew Micajah (Cage) Hutchison, who was born May, 1832 and died March, 1922. When most of the land was sold to developers, a deal was struck to keep this one piece of land in place. It now sits on what appears to be a hill, but in reality was the original elevation of the land. The developers excavated around the area but left the Knoll untouched. The view from the hill is beautiful - a fitting tribute to the former land owners.
Congrats to pwesleynd93 on being the FTF!
