Back in the day, the story goes, that Columbia Falls wanted to be named simply Columbia, but there was already a Columbia Montana. So, the City planners got together and called it Columbia Falls. However, it was sort of a joke, because technically there was no actual waterfall. Not long ago, a fake waterfall was put in, in honor of a local hero. The pretend falls is actually quite pretty. And the little park is sweet and sentimental if not inspirational, so there you go. Take a teardrop and leave a treat if you want. Diamond Hunters made these teardrops especially for you in honor of National Geocaching Day.
