Geocache Description:

CONGRATS TO PALEOPOPPY FOR BEING FIRST TO FIND!

My former boss at the refinery in Big Spring (Clyde McKimmey) grew up in Rotan, TX and I always loved hearing stories about his youth.  He was a good storyteller and always had fond memories of his sisters and parents and friends from Rotan.  Everytime I hear the town of Rotan mentioned I always think of Clyde - I guess you could say he put Rotan, Texas on the map - for me anyway lol.  I see at the time of this posting that his Mother, Annie Mae McKimmey, is still living.  Wow she will be 100 years old if she lives until her birthday next year.  I happened by the graves of Clyde's sisters Wanda, Karen, and Kay, and his Daddy, Willie B McKimmey, while I was out geocaching and decided they all deserved a cache even though there is already a cache in this cemetary.  It's big enough for two.  Enjoy the older tombstones too.  Happy geocaching and thanks for looking.  You are looking for a tiny plastic bison tube hanging on the chain link just east of the far east entrance to the cemetary.  Please be respectful of the area as any good geocacher would.  Bye now.
