Chesterton's Fence Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dogliest: The parking situation here has changed and the host piece of wood on the fence will no longer hold the container right, so it is time to archive the cache. Thanks to everyone who sought it! I hope someone else finds a good spot for a cache in this midtown area.

Geocache Description:

"Don't take down a fence until you know the reason someone put it up" is a saying from a 1929 book and known as Chesterton's Fence.

In 1963 President Kennedy used the quote in talking about education policy, though he attributed the quote to Robert Frost rather than Chesterton.

It seems like real good advice for geocachers.  And it is a good hint for this geocache.

The parking spots near ground zero are reserved for office tenants, so please park in visitor parking spaces during work hours.
