Here a unique flora and fauna has been preserved. The Cape Kamenjak is especially interesting for people who enjoy nature. Here you will find over 500 Mediterranean plants, meadows and macchia in a very small space, as well as magnificent pine forests. The peculiarity is over 20 varieties of free-growing orchids, including the Istrian serapis istriaca. Alone the drive through the nature reserve is a dusty experience. But if you come close to the Cape, you'll be rewarded by the view of a deep blue and green shimmering sea and the lighthouse Porer for the bumper-damaging ride. While it was oppressively hot on the dust roads during the cruise, a refreshing breeze blows here at the Cape. The cape is just as good to reach by boat via the waterway. This is not nearly as dusty and hot and also offers a very nice view of the cape from the sea side. In addition, there are many beautiful anchorages that invite you to swim and snorkel.
