Well this is a nice surprise in a forest! This picnic shelter is built by the Willow River Demonstration Forest Society in an area highlighting forest management practices. There are lots of picnic tables to have your lunch at, outhouses nearby and berry bushes for snacking at certain times of year. There is not a lot of parking though, and a narrow dirt road in here, so park where you can without damaging anything and hike in! This nature area has been created to bring light to taking care of our forests, please be very mindful of this. Cache in, Trash out and watch where your wheels and feet go!
This is an EASY hide, but I suspect few muggles come round often. Animals however....
You can access this trail/road by hiking in from the Willow River rest area (pick up PGCAR2017 caches along the way!) or by turning down the dirt road off HWY16E marked with a weathered old Demonstration Forest sign.
